Egypt is a Muslim country and the concept of security is special here. But what is it, you ask? If you enter the above question in a search engine, what kind of nonsense can you read, and about rude locals, and about unfriendly police officers, and about all sorts of details that do not quite correspond to reality. Of course, in tourist cities, the risk of falling for the tricks of merchants and taxi drivers and being deceived is much higher, but tell me, in which tourist city in Europe, for example, is it different? A tourist is a tourist everywhere, so safety rules must be followed. In the case of Egypt, in order to protect yourself from unnecessary financial costs, have a golden rule, always agree in advance on the cost of goods or services, do not make promises like “we will come to you tomorrow and buy your goods”, otherwise do not get rid of the merchant if, for example, he is based in your hotel. Outside the hotel, the beach and the pool, forget about the naked torso (men) or revealing outfits where the body parts are exposed (women), so you have less complaints and interest from the locals. Girls, there is a special message for you, you should not stare into the eyes, touch or smile insistently at male Egyptians, they may take as special signs of attention to your person and it will be difficult to explain in words that your actions are a simple act of politeness. It’s also not worth taking photos with locals on request, in order to protect yourself from uncomfortable situations. About personal security. Remember, the Egyptians are a hot-tempered people, but they are very hospitable and kind. No one will ever physically harm you. In response to your respectful attitude towards the owners of the land of the Pharaohs, you will receive only a positive experience. Numerous police and military posts are also a guarantee of security for tourists and visitors to the city. This is especially noticeable in Sharm El Sheikh, because the city is an international conference location for the whole world. Respected people often come here for various events, and the President of Egypt personally visits the city very often. As you can see, security in Egypt is at a high level, tourists are treated with special care, so come and enjoy the Ancient culture of the pharaohs and the gifts of the Red Sea.
Egypt welcomes tourists from all over the world all year round. If you choose a beach holiday, you should know that the water temperature in the Red Sea never drops below 20 degrees in winter, and in summer the maximum is 28-29 degrees. Next, it is important to choose the right area, bay and hotel if your trip is in winter.
The most comfortable time is considered to be from April to June and from September to November.
There are three options for booking an excursion:
Order online in a few minutes. Just leave a request here on the website or write to us in any messenger or call the hotline, specify all the information (desired tour, hotel name, number of people, etc.).After that, the manager will confirm the booking, and at the appointed time, wait for the transfer at a pre-arranged location near the hotel. In case of booking any standard group land tours in Egypt, payment will be made upon arrival at the time of departure. In case of booking excursions that require booking a personal transfer, an individual guide, travel outside Egypt or an air flight, the manager will appoint a way to transfer the advance.
Go to our office and book offline on the spot.
Call our representative to your hotel and order excursions from him.
Discuss any booking method that is convenient for you with the manager in the booking chat. See you in Egypt!
Yes, for all excursions that you book, there is a transfer service from the hotel and back. The cost of group transfer services is already included in the final price of the tour that you see on the website. The exceptions are remote hotels in the suburbs of Hurghada (from El Gouna, Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi, Soma Bay, Safagi).
In fact, you shouldn’t overload your already busy booking lines and chats in the morning with questions like “write when you arrive, we’ll get out”, “have you arrived, don’t get out?”. It is only necessary to wait in advance for the transfer at the place indicated in the booking message at the appointed time. If the transfer is not available within 15 minutes, please contact the manager immediately. The transfer picks up your room number using a special code. Transfers usually look like this: a white Toyota minibus.
The room number is the personal password of the tourist that the transfer takes you to, and the room number is also used to pay for the tour.
When you are waiting for a transfer for an excursion, there may be several tourists from your hotel as well as you waiting for a transfer. Tourist transfers are mostly white Toyotas. And in order for the client and the driver to find each other faster, a password is used – the room number. Only after the driver HIMSELF ANNOUNCES your room number, you can get in the car.
Sometimes tourists are also late, especially in the morning, so you can call the reception from the barrier and call the guests from the room.
It is completely safe to call the room number to the manager from whom you book excursions.
For some sea and historical excursions, it is necessary to issue a special permit, where the personal passport data of each tourist is entered. This way you can make sure once again that each tour is conducted only with the permission of the Egyptian Tourist Police and you are completely safe.
Yes, your insurance works on our excursions.
One of the most common myths is that THE INSURANCE YOU BOUGHT WITH YOUR TRAVEL PACKAGE DOES NOT APPLY TO EXCURSIONS PURCHASED OUTSIDE THE HOTEL.
The very first thing you should know when buying insurance is that it really covers almost nothing. Carefully study its contents and you will understand it for yourself.
The minimum insurance contract specifies under what circumstances the insurance company will not reimburse you. Basically it is:
– When you go on an extreme vacation. It doesn’t matter if you bought excursions at a hotel, in a city company, or in a shop in the bazaar.
– If you were intoxicated at the time of the accident.
The legend that insurance is not valid outside the hotel and if you go on an excursion not from a hotel guide, then in case of an accident the insurance company will not reimburse you is also not true. After all, you are buying insurance for travel to the country of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and not to a separate city or hotel. And insurance is valid throughout Egypt.
You, the travel agency, and the insurance company are three separate parties. The task of the travel agency is to provide you with plane tickets, transfer to the hotel, accommodation and meals at the hotel itself, the agency is basically not related to your insurance. The task of the insurance company is to provide you with the selected policy. And your task is to pay for all these services.
Yes, we have permission to organize excursions.
If you have already read the above questions, then you should already have an understanding that no trip can be carried out without permission from the tourism police. There are many patrol and military posts along the way, which will necessarily, possibly several times, stop the tourist bus and check the availability of documents for the transportation of tourists and for the organization of a particular activity. Transport is especially closely checked when traveling from one city to another, for example, in Cairo, tourist convoys are escorted by an armed convoy, and a place in this convoy is only for official organizers, which includes our company. This means that an unlicensed organizer is not allowed to work with tourists.
In fact, this is one of the hotel guide’s horror stories, and it has nothing to do with your check-in for the return flight. Most likely, this manipulation is just one of the ways to strengthen your bond with the guide more closely. Guides often come up with various frightening stories so that you can order and pay for the goods and services offered by a “reliable” hotel guide in full confidence, only that they do not mention the cost of these services and goods at times higher. You should not be led by the stories of hotel guides that if you write a refusal of the guide’s services, you will not be released from the hotel, and if you are released, the police will arrest you or issue a fine. You are a guest of the country, and you can move freely without any “special” permits, you have the right to choose where to buy goods and from whom to order services.
Citizens of the CIS countries, the United States, Great Britain, Europe and Australia must apply for a visa to enter Egypt. However, there is an exception to this rule! All over Egypt, a visa is required except for the Sinai Peninsula (Sharm El Sheikh, Dahab, Taba, Nuweiba, St. Catherine – you can do without a visa for up to 15 days in these cities, it is enough to stamp Sinay Only on arrival). If you plan to stay for more than 15 days or plan trips to other regions of the Sinai Peninsula or Egypt, you will need to obtain a visa. Tourists who fly to Egypt on vacation for up to 30 days will need an ordinary tourist visa – worth $ 25. You can apply upon arrival, online or at the Consulate or Embassy of the Republic of Armenia. The easiest way to buy a visa at the airport upon arrival, there is a bank office in the terminal building where you can buy a visa for cash dollars (preferably without change) (it looks like a stamp sticker). After that, go to passport control and make sure that the officer inserts and stamps (activates) your visa. You can also apply for a visa online, the details are on the official website. https://egypt-e-visa.com/
Local laws reflect the fact that Egypt is a predominantly Islamic country, with only 10% Christians.
Tourists are always treated with respect, but the law is the same for everyone!
⠀
It is recommended to respect local traditions, customs, laws and religions. This is especially important during the holy month of Ramadan. In the resort areas, everything is much simpler. They dress modestly, especially in rural areas, in mosques and bazaars, in areas where the local population predominates.
⠀
Public displays of affection are frowned upon. What may be acceptable in tourist resort areas may not be in other areas, do not forget about this when visiting Cairo, Luxor and other cities where there are not so many tourists.
⠀
You must always have a valid photo identification card with you. We recommend making several copies for your convenience.
⠀
Drinking alcohol on the street and in any place other than a licensed restaurant or bar is not allowed and may result in arrest. Usually there are always exceptions to the rules, tourists with invigorating drinks are often found on the street, this is their responsibility.
⠀
Possession, use, or trafficking of drugs is a serious crime and can lead to long prison terms even in small quantities.
⠀
Posting sharply negative opinions about Egypt or political comments, including about the president or the security forces, can cause problems with the authorities.
⠀
Photographing military, police, and strategic installations or near them is strictly prohibited. Do not photograph officials and local residents (especially women) without their consent.Drones and “drones” for photographing are prohibited.
⠀
LGBT, sexual activity between same-sex partners is not prohibited by law, but there is another regulation that regulates actions described as “debauchery” – this can be used as a comprehensive description. 66 people were arrested in 2017 for promoting the rainbow flag.
Do not use tap water.
You can’t swim in the sea at night because of the predators, which are especially active after sunset. There is also a risk of getting hurt by corals or stepping on a sea urchin or a rock fish.
It is forbidden to swim in the pools closer to sunset, as workers clean the reservoirs and launch special chemicals that can harm human health.
