Cairo by bus from Sharm El Sheikh

Please note! A visa to visit any city in Egypt outside the Sinai Peninsula (mainland cities: Hurghada, Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor, Aswan, etc.) must be purchased at the airport immediately upon arrival.

Program: 

You will leave for Cairo around midnight. The journey takes 8-9 hours. There will be several stops along the way (rest stations), where you can buy tea, snacks and use the toilet (prepare some small money). 

Arrival in Cairo at about 8-9:00 a.m.

The first historical location is the Cairo National Museum in Tahrir Square. There, a multilingual guide tells you and shows you the most important exhibits. You are in the museum for about 2.5 hours. The Egyptian National Museum houses unique exhibits, which are about five thousand years old. Here you will see the mummies of the pharaohs, sarcophagi, art and household items and many other things from the life of the ancient Egyptians, and most importantly the golden mask of Tutankhamun. 

Then, if you wish, for an additional fee, you can take a boat trip along the Nile and explore the sights of Cairo from the river.

Your next stop will be at a restaurant for lunch. Here you will taste the national Egyptian dishes. Please note that drinks during lunch are not included in the price and must be paid separately.

After lunch, you will go to the papyrus Museum, where you will be shown and told how to distinguish real papyrus from fake papyrus and how it is made. 

The extreme location of the program is the Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, one of the seven Wonders of the World – part of the huge necropolis of Giza.

And after that, you’re on your way back to Sharm el Sheikh. The trip back also takes about 8-9 hours, possibly more (but if there are no delays at the Suez Canal checkpoint), then by midnight you will return back to the hotel.
