It’s going to be an incredible day. You will have the opportunity to snorkel at the most gorgeous Blue Hall reefs. There is a lot of fame around the famous Blue Hole, because it is a sinkhole surrounded by coral reefs with a depth of about 130 meters. From a depth of 52-55 meters, the cave is connected to the sea by a passage. The corals hanging over the passage formed a kind of arch, hence the name Arch. But don’t worry, you and I won’t have to go down to such a depth, because this activity is useful only for professionals with certificates and experience. The main swimming route for beginner snorkelers (you) It will be formed in such a way that you can enjoy the beauty and abundance of the underground world. Do not forget about safety and take vests with you. We will complete our trip with a camel ride along the sea, explore a small canyon and at the end you will have a delicious lunch and shopping.

Why is the Blue Hole called the “cemetery of divers", is it dangerous to swim there?
Ordinary swimming on the surface with a mask and fins carries absolutely no danger, because you will be swimming surrounded by your group, wearing a vest and with an instructor, next to whom is a lifebuoy. Plus, you won’t have deep diving, but only snorkeling – swimming on the surface of the sea.
The notoriety of the Blue Hole was created by divers who performed dives in this place, without sufficient qualifications and without appropriate equipment. The deceptive simplicity of passing through the Arch with a single balloon with recreational equipment often leads to a sad ending. The reason for this is nitrogen anesthesia and depletion of air supply during ascent. A memorial has been created on the shore in memory of the divers who died in the Blue Hole. However, due to the large number of such divers, they stopped putting up “plaques” with the names of the dead, as this scares tourists away.
Is it difficult to climb the canyon?
A walk through the canyon is quite energy-intensive, and is equivalent to a mini hike. But there is no extreme stress on this journey, calculate your capabilities correctly.
What is snorkeling, and if I can't swim, will I be able to?
Snorkeling is snorkeling on the surface of the sea to see coral reefs and fish. If you cannot swim, be sure to rent a life jacket and a wetsuit. Also, while snorkeling at sea, you will have an instructor with a lifebuoy who will back you up in case you fail (this almost never happens).
Why do you need equipment and is it possible to do without it?
To fully enjoy the tour, it will be cool to engage in every entertainment from the program. If you do not have any equipment (masks, fins, vest), you will not be able to see the reef and marine life while swimming. Also, in the vicinity of Dahab, the sea is choppy almost all year round, there are waves and currents, as usual, tourists swim near the reefs to see all the most interesting things, and as far as everyone knows, coral reefs are hard and sharp formations in the sea, which is why you can get hurt in just a swimsuit. And of course, the lack of a vest threatens unsafe swimming, so we strongly recommend that you prepare for the tour seriously. There are two options: take all the supplies at your hotel or at the rental point (there will be a special stop) on the way to Dahab.
