Founded in the 6th century A.D. by the decree of the Byzantine Emperor Justinian, St. Catherine’s Monastery at the foot of Mount Sinai (Mount Moses) is one of the most visited places by pilgrims. One of the oldest and continuously operating Christian shrines in the world. Do not forget about the rules of the dress code, you should have appropriate clothes on the territory of the monastery. Women should wear modest and non-provocative clothes and a headscarf, men should wear trousers, and they should not wear shorts.

Dear guests, please note! During the period of restrictions due to the coronavirus, the service in the monastery is not held for tourists, and the church is closed.

Program:

At 5:00 a.m., a transfer picks you up from the hotel, the journey takes about 3 hours.
Guided tour of the monastery. Inspection of ancient icons and frescoes inside the monastery.
Visit the Bush of the Burning Bush, the Old Refectory, the Well of Moses, the Basilica of the Transfiguration, the chapel, the crypt, the ancient cemetery.
Visit to the city of Dahab
Lunch.
Return to the Sharm El Sheikh Hotel.
