On this day, we will introduce you to the European harbor of the East. The pearl of the Mediterranean Sea is Alexandria. Indeed, Alexandria is not like other cities in Egypt, there is a completely different atmosphere here, which we offer you to immerse yourself in. The most important and striking sights of the city are on our route. The first on the list is the royal park of the Montaza Palace. The Montaza Palace and Park are located in the bay of the eastern part of Alexandria. The architecture of the palace combines traditional Turkish and Florentine styles. King Farouk and Khedive Abbas once used the Grand Palace as their residence. Even today, the palace is used as a residence for official high-ranking guests of the country. The next stop is Fort Kite Bay, which appeared exactly at the place where the Pharos Lighthouse, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, was destroyed by an earthquake in 1775. The remains of the Lighthouse of Alexandria served as an excellent building material, which was used to build the walls of the fortress. The walls and towers are built of limestone blocks.
